Oriented Strand Board (OSB, for short) outperforms and surpasses most internal laminate sheet materials, which would buckle and fail in certain places. OSB is exactly what it sounds like; these boards are intended for usage in humid environments; they are made of “oriented strands” (wood fibres and adhesives squeezed in opposing orientations) to produce an effective load-bearing panel. One of the most important characteristics of this board is its durable tongue and groove profile, which performs similarly to softwood plywood building materials (with equivalent flexibility and strength). The boards slot together and form a flawless fit with neighbouring boards since their edges are machined with accurate tolerances. In light of this, T&G is a good choice for platform floors, load-bearing roofing, flooring, wall applications, and ceilings.
